Washcloth House Slippers

Today on CBS in Tulsa on the Six in the Morning show, I did the fun, fluffy, ruffled washcloth house slippers. These are the most comfy things to wear and fabulous to give! Every time I make these, people go nuts! My mom and I used to make these years ago when my Daddy was a pastor in Ada, Oklahoma. We made them for the seniors at the nursing homes, and those folks were so appreciative. My parents really taught me that it is more blessed to give than to receive. The project instructions and a printable diagram for making them is on my PattieWack Website, along with dozens more projects that I've done on TV shows and videos. I have to tell you that I was so excited when I spied these washcloths at Target, because they already had the rick rack sewn around the edges. It just really adds to the cute factor, I think! You know, I'm thinking maybe I need to make these for all the girls in my family for Christmas morning......

Monster Umbrellas

These crazy cool umbrellas are great for Mommy or Daddy to carry on a trick-or-treat outing with the kids. Or, have a crafting party for the whole family by cutting out different shapes and letting the kids create their own scary or fun faces to glue onto their Monster Umbrellas! When I did them on Channel 6, they were great on the set, and we decided that they would also make great party decorations. You can find over 100 FREE crafts at pattiewack.com, and dozens of Pattiewack -n- Crafts projects from the Six in the Morning show on CBS in Tulsa. If you have picked up my book, The Crafter's Guide to Glue, you will find the instructions on page 120.

Help Me

The move to Santa Paula has been a big ol’ eye opener for me. I knew I had lots of stuff, but baybee I have toooo much stuff! I counted over 40 plastic crates, full of stuff. Good grief, I’m glad I at least sorted it all before the move. It all used to be in the basement when we were in Tulsa, but now I get to spread out in our huge garage. I feel like a bird out of a cage. But, now the work begins.

California or Bust

We're MOVING!

Yes, that's a moving van, that's my family, and that's me with the big smile. It's going to be tough to leave these crazy peeps. I gave all my plants away, as I don't think they will make the trip from Tulsa to Santa Paula on a moving van. I'm going to miss everyone..... That's my mom and auntie holding plants, my Dad, my brother David, my uncle, and of course Scott standing next to me.

Goodbye Tulsa...
California or BUST!
