Yes!  We did it.  The quest for having our tools made here in America is not a dream any more.  We actually found someone right here in California that would come close to our China pricing and help us continue to make our tools profitable.  I am so excited to make the announcement today.  My hubby Scott just wouldn't give up, and it was worth it.  We ran out of the mini tassel makers several months ago and lost some sales, but he was determined to continue the search, and see where we could go with US makers.

Pattiewack Magazine Roll-Ups Video is up to 200,000 Views!

Over 200,000 Views!!!

Today the Magazine Roll-up Crafts video on the Pattiewack Designs YouTube Channel hit over 200,000 views. I'm so excited, I can't stand it! I'm sure there should be confetti flying out of the sky right now or something, right? Scott kept telling me that it was getting close, but I had a hard time believing that over 200,000 people wanted to see what they could make with their recycled magazines. Ha! Was I wrong. That's a LOT of crafters with a LOT of magazines!

There are 42 videos on my channel right now, and I have soooo many more that we need to upload so that we can share them. Scott promises to get more added since it's pretty apparent that crafters are looking for fun ideas on YouTube.

Snow Bottles

DIY Snow Bottles Video

We are Fresno LIVE!

Host Stefani Booroojian was so much fun on the LIVE show on Thursday, 

as she shredded foam with a cheese grater 

while I covered recycled bottles 

with Aleene's Tacky Glue.

New Holiday Craft Videos Are Coming!

We had so much fun with Holiday Craft Videos last year, 

our iLoveToCreate website team decided to do them again this year!

 Scott decided that a white Christmas would be fun, so he got busy painting and 

I brought in some color with ornaments and pillows.  

The cute little red deer and the
iLoveToCreate frame was added by Alexa (aka Swell Designer.)

 We have tons of Tulip holiday products,
so it didn't take long to put together some really
cute and quick crafts for the videos,
including coffee cozies with crystals to make a monogram.

 Molly was on hand to assist with set-up.
That cute apron was just one of several darling ideas for using our
amazing adhesives, crystals, 3-D paint, stencils and glitter.

 As you can see... Victoria was not so excited about me 

snapping a candid photo of her during the shoot.

 And of course, Scott worked to make me look good, the audio sound wonderful,

and get those all-important close-ups for you to see

how to make your quick holiday crafts.

More Lifetime TV.com Webisodes!

It's all a blur now, but last weekend we shot the Pattiewack Holiday Videos for LifetimeTV.com at lightning speed. Yes! LifetimeTV.com asked me to shoot holiday crafts for their fabulously popular website, and I said "yes" of course! I had a terrible time deciding on the crafts I wanted to show, but settled for some of the cutest ideas ever. I can't tell you what they are yet, but I promise you will love'em.

Lisa and James from Bungalow 3 came from Los Angeles to work with Scott my hubby wubby who owns Insight Film Video.

Lisa was right there to direct and give guidance about what she wanted in every segment. She was electric with her ideas and gave spark to the entire project.

Scott was his usual steadfast calm and rock solid self. He shot the camera in handheld style and kept the pace for 2 days of shooting.

I'm in good company, as Vicki Howell said "yes" too, and will be shooting her webisodes right after me.

I think the Crafty Chica will shoot her crafts last, but they certainly will not be the least, with her sassy style. You can go to Vicki and Kathy's blogs to read about their adventures in the creative world of crafts. LifetimeTV.com will never be the same after all of us make our crafty holiday debut!

I had a blast, and just want to give a shout out to Robyn and Brad for their hard work on our crew, and for fabulous photography, written instructions for the craft projects, and to James for keeping the coffee coming.

Okay, I know you're dying to know what I did, so brace yourself, because you're gonna love the cute little Christmas Fleece Stockings, Valentine Suncatchers, Halloween Chandelier, and 4th of July Party Favors.

CHA again!

The 2008 CHA trade show for the crafts and hobby industry is in full swing, and we are right in the middle of it. We'll be scouting out all the fab new products, and catch up on hugs with old friends. We'll be getting some great video of the best craft demonstrators and some behind the scenes pics for you. I can't wait to see what's new at the Wright's booth, at Duncan, EK Success, Coats & Clark, Provo Craft, Krylon, and more! I'll keep you posted on the cool stuff....

Happy Holiday Trees

These cute little pompom trees are part of the tassel and pompom projects I made for Terri O., the Craft & Hobby Association’s National Spokesperson, who is featuring new and exciting holiday craft products in all her Celebrate the Season TV segments. They would be terrific on a buffet table or for a child's room. Here are the easy instructions, and the yarns from Coats & Clark that I used to make my trees.

Yarn:
MODA DEA™Zing: 1 Ball No. 2357 Pearl
Red Heart ® Soft yarn: 1 Ball No. 4412 Grass Green
Red Heart ® Soft yarn: 1 Ball No. 4420 Guacamole
Red Heart ® Soft yarn: 1 Ball No. 5142 Cherry Red

Supplies:
2 Felt Squares: 9” x 12” (red or green)
1 Felt Square: contrasting color for 6 small circles
Dowel rod: 3/4” x 12” tall (painted red or green)
Wood plaque: 2” x 4” x 1/2” (painted red or green)
Batting
Craft glue
Sewing machine
Pinking shears
Scissors
Drill with 3/4” bit

Tools:
Large size Pattiewack™ Pompom Tool

Pompom Steps:
1. Wind yarn onto the pompom tool at the 1” step, and wind 25 times.
2. Tie the center of the pompom tightly with 8” length of yarn.
3. Cut the pompom away from the tool. Trim into a ball shape.
4. Make 6 pompoms of each color of yarn; grass green, guacamole, cherry red,
5. Make 4 pompoms from the Pearl yarn. Lay pompoms aside.

Felt Tree Steps:
1. Cut out tree shape from the 2 red or green felt squares, according to the pattern, using pinking shears.
2. Cut out two large circles, using pinking shears.
3. Cut out 6 small circles with scissors.
4. Sew the tree shapes together, leaving open at the bottom for batting.
5. Stuff tree with batting.
6. Insert dowel rod into the tree. Glue in place, closing the bottom of the tree with glue.
7. Glue the two large circles to the top of tree, back to back.
8. Glue pompoms and small circles to the front of the tree, using photo as a guide.
9. Drill a 3/4” hole into the center of the wooden plaque.
10. Glue tree into the hole to complete.

There I am again, in the latest issue of the Creative Home Arts magazine. The Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue advertisement is right in the front cover! I have been slammed with hits on my website and blog since Friday, and was wondering what the deal was. Then I got my magazine in the mail and figured it out.
