You Can Do Anything - Boho Pompom Bracelet

You can make just about ANYTHING if you have the right tools, including this beautiful boho bracelet if you have the PattieWack™Tassel and Pom-Pom Makers.

For this bracelet, just grab your PattieWack™ Mini Pom-Pom Maker and 3 colors of embroidery floss.  Wind floss around the tool on the third tier to make a 1-1/2" pom-pom.  Tie it in the middle, then cut the sides to release.  Trim it up and tie it to your favorite boho-style bracelet.  Add two more, and you've got a pretty addition to that t-shirt and jeans or shorts for the perfect summer outfit.

Oh, and if you're into making jewelry, you can tie the pompoms to a lobster claw.  Then you'll be able to take clip them onto anything.  Cool, easy, and fun!

Glamping Time with Tassels!

It's that time of year, Yay!! The kids are getting restless, the weather is decent, flowers are ready to bloom and it's time to go outside and play.  What a perfect way to play, than by building a tent!

I found these amazing tents with a tutorial on CAKIES Blog and she gives complete sewing instructions for building the perfect tent.

And of course, you'll want to put your personal touch to the tent with tassels, to create a grand entrance to the tent.  Just grab your Pattiewack Tassel Maker and make 5" tassels, string them to a cord, and tie to the tent posts.  My goodness, you could even do this to a tent you already have, right?

Okay, now I must get out in the yard, take the wiener dogs out for a walk, and think about making tents.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's not too late to make a cute little pompom garland for St. Patrick's Day.  I saw this darling idea over at Honest to Nod and thought it was perfect, and super easy!

Now this little shamrock garland caught my eye, since it is so clever!  All you'll need is baker's twine, pom-poms, and little pieces of felt to make it.  There are more garlands and banners along with this one over at B Lovely Events.

Just grab your Pattiewack Pom-Pom Maker and pump out some quick pom-poms for a darling banner today to perk up your office cube, hang from a chandelier, or between two bed posts, for a super lucky day! ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!

Tribal Tassels - DIY Necklace

Tassels and beads are the perfect combination for this tribal take on a necklace you can wear with anything!  It is SO easy, if you have the PattieWack™ Mini Tassel Maker.  Here's how....

Wind embroidery floss around the tool at the 4th section of the mini tool for a 2" tassel.  Tie the top and the neck with a contrasting floss.  Cut the bottom of the tassel and slide off the tool.  Attach to a chain, make four more and add to the necklace.  You can use jump rings if you're into jewelry making, or just tie them on.

And there you have it.  Super cool, fun, and easy to make.  Oh, and you could even make one for your friends, too.  P.S. You don't have to tell them how inexpensive it was. LOL

Debra Arch makes the CUTEST bunny baskets!

These little bunny baskets are adorable, and Debra Arch will show you in the video just how she made them for Station KWQC-TV6 from the Quad Cities in northwest Illinois and Southeastern Iowa last week. She takes crochet to another level and then shows how to make pom-poms with the Pattiewack Pom-Pom Maker. The Paula Sands "Live" TV broadcast is such fun, and Debra rocks it.
You can also check out more crochet goodness from Debra on the Annies Craft Store website. Debra is truly the crochet queen. She has authored 10 pattern books for Annie's, she crochets and knits designs for Annie's Hook and Needle Club, and she is a frequent contributor to Crochet! and Crochet World magazines.

DIY - Boho Tassel Necklace

It's summer-time, and this girl's really lovin' the boho style that I'm seeing everywhere.  So, I went to Hancock Fabrics and bought several fun prints to make my own blouses and then I just felt like they needed something else.  This one has such great colors, and I thought it would be fun to match up the turquoise, lime, and lemon colors that are super vibrant with cotton embroidery threads.
I did fudge a little by starting out with a necklace on the sale kiosk at Nordstrom's Rack.  Then I got busy making tassels in each of the colors.  To make my tassels, I grabbed my PattieWack™ Mini Tassel Maker and decided what size to make them.
I chose the 1 1/2 inch size and wound the embroidery floss around the tool until it was as fat and fluffy as I wanted. I wrapped this heavier floss about 20 times. How many times you wind it depends on how thick your thread is, and how fat you want your tassels.  And in order to make all your tassels the same size,  simply count how many times you wind the first one and then you'll be set for the other tassels.
For the next step I put a large jump ring through the top of the tassel since it was going on a metal chain necklace. A pair of needle-nose pliers worked great for this.
Then I inserted another piece of embroidery floss through the slit in the tool and tied it very tightly around the neck of the tassel.
The next step was to simply cut the bottom of the tassel with scissors and slip it off the end of the tool. I also wound some more floss around the neck to add a little more pizzaz to the tassel.
I made three tassels, added them to my necklace and that was it!  I had my necklace finished in about 30 minutes...boombadabing!

See you in the next post!

Pom-poms & Tassels for Vogue Knitting Live!

I am so excited to be putting together all the goodies for our booth at Vogue Knitting Live in Pasadena this weekend. My pom-pom and tassel girls are going to look perfectly at home there, I'm thinking!

I've got to get my butt in gear today and pack everything so that I can drive down tomorrow and spend the night before setting up on Friday morning. My friend Susan Levin and I went together to sell my PattieWack crafting tools and her website products.

If you haven't already, you can check out her fabulous products at www.stuffyoulove.com

I'll keep you posted as we set up. This is our first time, so we'll see what happens!

We are both a little bit scared, because we have no idea what to expect. I understand there will be thousands of people there. So we're packing my Transit and her SUV as full we can get them!

..... To be continued

Love Bus

I love this bus! Found it on Extreme Craft and just about blew a craft gasket! Yes, it is crochet stitches covering every inch of the bus. Now THAT is extreme crafting.
